"Las Ventanillas de Otuzco" is an archaeological site in the district of Baños del Inca, 8 km northwest of the city of Cajamarca. The individual windows are tombs from the pre-Inca period. - 1976

The Windows of Otuzco (Ventanillas de Otuzco) are a significant archaeological necropolis dating from the pre-Inca period (Cajamarca culture, c. 200–800 AD). They are situated approximately 8 km north-east of the city of Cajamarca at an altitude of around 2,850 metres. Hundreds of window-like, rectangular burial niches are carved deep into a steep cliff face of volcanic rock. The individual niches served as separate burial sites, arranged one above the other, in which the region’s ancestors laid their dead to rest. – Northern Peru – 1976
