Vineyards and snowy peaks: without them, the Valais would not be what it is. View over the Rhone Valley and the village of Premploz, upstream of Conthey. In the background, beyond the Rhone and next to the tip of the Pierre Avoi, the icy peaks of Mont Blanc rise near the French border.
The sense of community of the people from the Valais, their "cohesion", makes them inclined to party and celebration. Girls and women in the Valais also experience the added pleasure of wearing flattering and timeless costumes, often inherited from their mothers or grandmothers.
