Mural from the Kathaluwa Poorwarama Viharaya in Koggala, Sri Lanka. The temple is known for its detailed murals, which feature a mixture of religious themes and influences from the British colonial period. Although at first glance the image may be reminiscent of ancient Egyptian art (such as the famous scenes of Tutankhamun and Anjesenamón on grave goods), it differs significantly in style, clothing and the script shown. – 1990
