About sixty kilometres south-east of Bardaï, lies the Tibesti 'spa', Soborom, which is well known to the ethnic groups of the country who sometimes come from far and wide to immerse themselves in its volcanic pools of warm water. The sulphurous vapours rise from the earth's belly and give the earth its pale green colour.
