Description

  • Foto Number: 42N-287-30

The large white turban worn in the Rajasthan region protects against extreme heat and often signifies social status or membership of a particular community. The traditional leather shoes are handmade and typical of this region. They are characterised by their pointed shape and sturdy leatherwork. The simple wooden stick is used by shepherds or elderly villagers in rural areas as a walking stick and a tool. – Phalodi – 1990
