Description

  • Foto Number: SAH-217

The desert is only flat to those who have not crossed it. Sure, there are huge regs littered with pebbles blackened by the sun, but almost everywhere the rock seems hard, rough, often impassable. And nothing is more astonishing than the range of colours it offers us, like the deep blue discovered at the top of the Tafilalet in the Tassili n'Ajjer, Algerian Sahara. But it is a worn, shattered rock. - Algeria - 1969
