Description

  • Foto Number: ARG-143

The construction of the imposing cathedral on Plaza San Martin in the Argentine city of Córdoba began in the 16th century. Its completion took over 200 years (until 1782) and went through several architectural eras, which are reflected in the different styles of the monumental cathedral. Like other monumental buildings from the colonial era that are well worth seeing, the Roman Catholic church is located directly on the central square of Cordoba, Plaza San Martin. The square is truly the center of the city, because all of Cordoba's house numbers are counted from its northwest corner. - 1973
