Comodoro Rivadavia is an important port and industrial city on the Atlantic coast of the province of Chubut in southern Argentina. The town of Comodoro Rivadavia was founded in 1901 as the center of the sheep farming region in Central Patagonia. However, when oil was found in search of drinking water in 1907, the city began to grow rapidly. - 1973
