The village of Juli on the southwest bank of Lake Titicaca was a religious center during the colonial period. This is reminiscent of a number of churches, the rich interior of which testifies to the past glory. Here is an imposing portal in front of the Santa Cruz Church, over whose esplanade two boys lead their pigs. - 1969
