This ancient memorial post stands in Skidegate, but it is in danger of falling over and endangering the children who often play here. The base figure is a beaver with a bear cub between its ears.

Like many other Haida artists, Garner Moody, born in 1958, specializes in argillite carving. Among his teachers are his uncle, Rufus Moody, and Alfred Collinson. Garner Moody lives in Skidegate.
